Good snow at first, then ice. Lost trail, went up one side canyon before going up Echo Canyon again. Turned back at 10,000 ft (before final push up the Griffith), met up with two hikers - one with injured ankle. Called up and directed search and rescue chopper. Hell of a birthday. |
